Oxford Community Market – Campus Farmers Market

When: April 20, 10:00-2:00 pm

Where: Galtney-Lott Plaza (Business Row)

The Oxford Community Market is hosting a campus farmers market! This market is an opportunity to promote local, sustainable food to students, faculty, and staff. As a part of the Office of Sustainability’s Earth Month celebration, this event serves the purpose of bringing together the Oxford community to promote awareness about food choices, the food industry, and why it matters.

With over 20 different vendors, participants can expect to find a variety of seasonal produce, homemade goods, and personal care products; all while winning prizes, learning about local foodways, AND petting GOATS!

How to Participate

Volunteer: Volunteers are needed throughout the event. Volunteers will help facilitate set-up, tear-down, or market activities (i.e. handing out promotional material or assisting the Office of Sustainability in tabling) depending on which time they choose to volunteer. All volunteers will be given an Office of Sustainability lanyard and earn points in the Office of Sustainability Volunteer Challenge (ADD LINK)

Sign-up for volunteer shifts TODAY via our Givepulse!

Attend: All Campus and community members are welcome to attend the OXCM Campus Farmers Market event! Come buy your favorite local goods from our lovely farmers and small business owners. A majority of our vendors accept all forms of payment, some may only accept cash or check.

Don’t want to spend any money? That’s ok! There will be free giveaways, face painting, foodway education, and a baby GOAT PARTY. There is something for everyone at the OXCM Campus Farmers Market.
