COVID-19 and Sustainability
In the previous months, the University of Mississippi and the world have experienced unprecedented challenges resulting from or made visible by the COVID-19 Pandemic. This pandemic illustrates the challenges of sustainability in the way that our world is directly connected with social, environmental, and economic impacts. Like climate change, COVID-19 has impacted vulnerable communities disproportionately. As we evaluate systems and move forward with changes, it is important to keep in mind current challenges and future ones to avoid the same repetitive problems. Our office is committed to creating systemic change at our university and beyond. We strive to develop solutions and adapt our programming to continue to educate on the interdependence of human, ecological, and economic systems. See the link below for more information about sustainability and COVID-19.
